Lone Star Plate began in 2008 as a group blog documenting vegan life in Texas. Over time, most of the original bloggers moved on to new projects. Today, Lone Star Plate is written by mollyjade and covers vegan food, lifestyles, communities, and activism from El Paso to Houston and everywhere in between. I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband and two cats. I have strong opinions about chili (no beans!) and will take almost any opportunity to travel or try new food in Texas. I’m always in the middle of three or four books. I think “y’all” is an extremely useful word. Besides Lone Star Plate, I also help organize Texas VegFest.

Would like to see a Vegan Restaurant in Sunset Valley. I am on City Council and on the Economic Development Committee. Would like to hear from you and see if Sunset Valley would be a great spot for a new restaurant catering to Vegetarians.
Hi Molly,
I’d love to send some information on an upcoming event that we think is right up your alley! Would you mind shooting me an email? Thanks so much!
